University TV/Film Solutions
Prepare your students to work professionally with intimacy.
The Challenge
Intimacy Coordination has quickly become an industry standard and is utilized on nearly all major TV/Film sets. The ability to work consensually within professional spaces is a must-have skill set.
Students are demanding the inclusion of up-to-date intimacy practices on student productions and in classrooms, and many university instructors are struggling to find the resources and training they need.

Step 1: Department Workshops
Generate Momentum with Support from Leading Industry Experts
Faculty & Staff Workshops
These workshops offer tools for facilitating a safe and effective environment for basic intimacy work in classroom situations, with special attention paid to combining each participant’s directing/teaching method with our five-pillar approach. These workshops prepare departments to work with intimacy coordinators and to integrate consent practices in classroom and production settings.
Student Workshops
Students receive an introduction to staging intimacy from the perspective of the actor. These workshops offer students the tools to approach basic intimacy practice including consensual-based working, creating and containing chemistry, communication, and choreography. The curriculum can be adapted to fit the needs of stage management or design students.
Step 2: Production Support
Consultation for Student Productions and Department-Level Policies
Make a commitment to the safe production of scenes of intimacy by incorporating protocols and policies custom designed to fit the needs of your institution, and prepare your students to work professionally with intimacy professionals and how to ethically and safely handle scenes of intimacy.
IDC's consultants are familiar with the nuances and special considerations within academia. We work with your team to develop protocols that support classroom assignments, external rehearsals, department productions, and integration with the standards most common in the industry.
