Whitney “Whit” Reed (they/she) is a Creative Director who uses performance, production, and communications as a tool to curate cultural experiences through theatre, cinematography, and the ritual of storytelling. A graduate of Florida A&M University, the largest Historically Black College and University, Whitney gained a deeper appreciation for education and art being catalysts that dismantle systems of oppression through storytelling as a Public Relations and Theatre performance student. In post matriculation they’ve honed their skills in marketing and equity, diversity and inclusion through professional development working in varied industries. From education to tech startups and their current role in regional theatre, Whitney’s collective skills have given them the edge in becoming a well- rounded communicator with skills to navigate all demographics. Whitney “Whit” Reed is excited to work with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators and looks forward to highlighting IDC's role in the entertainment and education industries as intimacy and consent work becomes a standard industry practice.
