Eli (they/them) is a trans* non-binary actor, fight director, Intimacy Director, dancer, musician, and artist based in Philadelphia. They are honored and delighted to be part of the incredible and essential movement that is Intimacy Direction, and are deeply inspired by the company’s devotion to creating safe and intentional techniques to create stories that are audacious and challenging.

Their fight and intimacy work has been seen on stage at theatres including Arden Theatre Co., People’s Light & Theatre, Theatre Exile, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Philadelphia Artists Collective, Quintessence Theatre, The University of the Arts, and Muhlenberg College. They have also taught classes in movement, stage combat, and consent at Flying V, The VA Stage & Screen Combat Workshop, and the PA Renaissance Faire.

They have 9 years of training in various styles of dance (including contact improv), as well as experience with clowning and circus arts. They have also trained for over a decade in stage combat, and are an Advanced Actor Combatant with 5 international stage combat organizations (SAFD, FDC, BASSC, SAFDi, and NSFS), a teaching apprentice with Fight Directors Canada, and frequently assist SAFD/FDC Fight Master Ian Rose. They hold a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory. Soli Deo Gloria.
