Dan is a Director, Fight Director, Intimacy Director, and Movement Specialist.
Granke’s Intimacy work has appeared at Urbanite Theatre and Tampa Repertory Theatre. Granke’s Fight work has appeared at Joe's Pub, The Asolo Repertory Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre, Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe, American Stage, Urbanite, Tampa Shakes, Stageworks, Jobsite, St Petersburg Opera, Studio 620, Tampa Rep, Three Bone Theatre, and Unto these Hills Outdoor Drama where Granke has been the fight director for three seasons.
Directing Credits include: Ready Steady Yeti Go (Stageworks), Macbeth and Richard III (Tampa Shakes), Beruit and Blue Surge (Cena/Cenari) Bethany and Tender Napalm (TRT2) and US Drag, They Don't Pay We Won't Pay, and She Kills Monsters (Theatre USF)
Dan Granke holds a BFA from the University of Michigan, and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Teaching includes physical comedy, mask, and acting at the University of South Florida. Dan Granke is the Producing Artistic Director of Tampa Shakespeare Festival and an associate member of SDC.
